SIS-USA inc. & Performance Concepts International Form Joint Venture
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A Joint Venture Between SIS-USA inc. and Performance Concepts International
Londonderry, New Hampshire; September 1, 2005
At its headquarters today, SIS-USA inc. (SIS-USA) announced a joint venture with Performance Concepts International Limited (PCI). The two companies have agreed to pursue a joint venture to market the learning and working styles-based consulting and training services of PCI through SIS' domestic operation, which markets flexible, adjustable technology-oriented office and educational furniture. SIS markets the Generation IV adjustable line of office furniture and the Synthesis line of educational products nationally through a dealer distribution network. PCI offers consulting services, training programs and products that are designed to increase achievement and improve individual and team performance in educational and workplace settings. The services provided by PCI are based on Building Excellence Through People.
The marketing initiative behind the joint venture is to bring the message of how understanding one's learning and working style can improve educational achievement and workplace productivity. One of the many aspects affecting these outcomes is how the environment one's immediate physical surroundings can affect, either negatively or positively, individual performance: This includes the proper use of furniture specifically designed for flexible activities while at the same time fitted to the user's need.
Program offerings include presentations and seminars that focus on the connection between learning styles and learning environments at trade shows, educational workshops for architects, designers, school planners and educational administrators. Additionally, we deliver workshops and presentations that center on working styles and the effects of the physical and social environments on productivity. The joint venture also offers customized training programs and consulting services.
Our combined goal is to help increase achievement and improve performance through our innovative approaches in learning and working environments. The new company offers unique educational and corporate solution-based products and consulting services and training programs. Our long-term goal is to establish a SIS Academy for clients to attend workshops on enhancing performance with better knowledge of learning and working styles. A similar academy already exists and operates as part of SIS international in Denmark.
Susan M. Rundle is President and CEO of PCI. She is Director of Adult Learning and Corporate Training for St. John's University's Center for the Study of Learning and Teaching Styles, Jamaica, New York. Rundle also is Director of the Connecticut Learning Center for Business and Education, which is part of the International Learning Style Network with twenty seven members worldwide. Susan M. Rundle and Dr. Rita Dunn are co-authors of the Building Excellence Survey®. Susan's responsibilities will include managing the joint venture as a division of SIS-USA. SIS-USA, a distributor and manufacturer of ergonomic and educational products in the Americas, is a wholly owned subsidiary of SIS international of Middlefart, Denmark, which is an international manufacturer of adjustable office furniture and flexible educational furniture designed to create optimal learning and working environments.
